Cilostazol - prescription for treatment of a unstable lameness, a condition caused, being narrowed by arteries which supply legs with blood. Cilostazol ulcers of a leg because of the reduced stream of blood, a gangrene or quickly progressing lameness have not been investigated in patients with a pain of a leg in rest.

A doze - 100 mg twice daily. Cilostazol there should be taken at least a half an hour before or after two hours after a dinner and a breakfast to interfere with the foodstuffs to mention its absorption.
Erythromycin (E.E.S, Erythrocin), omeprazole (Prilosec) and diltiazem (Cardizem) increases concentration Cilostazol, blocking action of enzymes which destroy Cilostazol. Though not definitely investigated, similar interaction could take place with ketoconazole (Nizoral), itraconazole (Sporanox), fluconazole (Diflucan), miconazole (Monistat), fluvoxamine (Luvox), fluoxetine (Prozac), nefazodone (Serzone) and sertraline (Zoloft). Higher concentration Cilostazol could increase an opportunity of poisonous effects. Therefore, a doze of 50 mg twice daily should be considered when drugs which can increase concentration Cilostazol also, it is used.
In premarketing studies, Cilostazol did not increase occurrence of a bleeding in individuals who also took aspirin.
The high fat food increases absorption Cilostazol. Juice of a grapefruit could increase concentration Cilostazol. Therefore, juice of a grapefruit should not be taken patients on Cilostazol.
The the most common adverse effects - a headache, a belly pain, the diarrhea, a nausea, liquid detention, dizziness and wrong palpation.
Cilostazol forbids enzyme phosphodiesterase III. Another drugs which forbid this enzyme, has caused death in individuals with cardiac arrest. Therefore, individuals with cardiac arrest should not use Cilostazol.
